1966 Chevelle SS
Original Sheet Metal Exterior
Danube Blue... yes, it's a color you just don't see all that often and it was one of the reasons I was initially drawn to this car. Coupled that with the fact that it is a numbers matching L34 (360 hp) with very low mileage and you have something very special indeed.
This '66 is one repaint away from being a survivor in my books but the fact still remains that it was repainted and the "survivor" status is now out the window! The paint is 20 years old and still looks great. It does have some minor chips here and there that have been touched up but what do you expect from a car that still hits the open road?
The body panels fit very well and the part number is still visible on the quarters. The chrome on the front and rear bumpers is excellent with only minor surface scratches on the window trim that will be left alone... It adds to the patina!
The 15" wheel and tire set up (pictured below) will be replaced by standard 14" JK code steel wheels (painted body color) and 7.75-14 Firestone Deluxe Champion bias ply redline tires.
