1969 CHEVELLE SS
BODY & PAINT - 2007
After owning and racing the car since 1991, the previous owner decided to start a complete frame on body restoration returning the car back to stock. As you will see below the years of driving the car in Nothern Quebec took it's toll on the car. The only original metal work on the car today are the floors and trunk pan.

Paint stripped and the front clip removed to see what there was to work with.

Quarters were rough with existing patch work

Outer wheel wells and rockers were rotted after many years of salt exposure in Quebec.

Quarters were removed before the entire car was sand blasted and the epoxy primer was applied.

Rear seat supports and floor primed.

New outer wheel wells and rockers installed

Rear quarters and doors installed

Ready for primer... original window sills are in great shape

Primer applied... all the time spent on body prep and gaps paid off as the body is laser straight

Paint complete back to original #71 GM LeMans Blue.

SS emblems, door handles and trim installed

Complete! This is pretty much how the car looked when I purchased it in May of 2013. The RPO D96 white SS stripe was added prior to my purchase.
