Factory Original Color

During the body restoration completed in 2007, the decision was made to return this SS back to its original #71 LeMans Blue exterior. The 2C Dark Blue vinyl top was not re-installed; however, the optional D96 white side stripe was added to compliment the factory Parchment interior.

The car retains its original window trim and door handles. Reproduction front and rear bumpers are on the car now but will be replaced by the originals once they are restored and re chromed.

Factory Gauges

When I purchased the car it featured a Sun Tach mounted on the steering column. Being a bit of a purist, I decided to hunt down an original factory gauge package that features a 5500 RPM tach. after finding one on Team Chevelle, I sent it out to Redline Gauges for an updated PCB that allows for EFI ignition as well as a trim pot to dial the tach in.

Console Delete

It's not a well-known fact that you could order your Chevelle SS without a console when the bucket seat interior was ordered... sure glad they did as it really looks "Old School"

Parchment Interior

There is just something about LeMans Blue paint with a Parchment interior... one of the best color combinations in my opinion.

The seat covers were replaced in 1992 and the car is still wearing its original door and rear side panels although the entire interior will be replaced in an upcoming project.
